Alram, the pertinent point is that a middle aged woman would NOT be able to kill teenagers or a mature man with only a car or a knife or a bat or a bathtub. The handgun is the great "equalizer", making a nobody equal to anybody.

As a (finally) retired Family Physician, I have never seen nor thought of a sports physical as a loss leader. Is it any use? Not much, but discovering a murmur might be helpful, however, there are many causes of murmurs.

No, Spencer, not true. Spain has little crime and guns are not allowed. I do own 2 shotguns and a rifle and am retired military with over 26yrs service. BUT, I'm also a physician and know almost all local victims are GSW.

Wrong, Stephanie, many parents make decisions that are harmful to their kids, including not buckling them in seatbelts (which the government mandates).

MG, you obviously don't know medicine, toxicologist or not. These are not poisons; it would be difficult ot call killed or attenuated viruses a poison. we formerly saw Hemophilus Influenza B cause many hospitaliatons in infants under one year with significant mortality.

Amberella, that takes up medical care that should be going to someone who really needed it. It's the same thing as motorcyclists not wearing helmets. It's not their chance of dying; it is the myriad disabled from brain injury and amputations that are all too common.

No, Mommy, I know the research involved ALL BY MYSELF! And the vaccines are NOT toxins, they are killed or attenuated viruses or bacteria. Good grief, you really do have a problem. Mommy, vaccines and vaccinations are an infinitessimal piece of any doctor's practice.
